Reconstruction of Iranian Gas Sweetening Unit Nears Completion

The acting head of Fajr-e Jam Gas Refining Company said reconstruction of the refinery’s second gas sweetening and cooling unit is nearing completion.

According to the company, Hamid Khedri said only a few days remain before reconstruction work is finished and the unit is returned to service. The unit was damaged during a 12-day conflict, he said, and is now close to restarting thanks to domestic experts and technical staff.

Khedri said the unit is scheduled to return to service at the beginning of this winter, with operations set to resume soon. He added that the project has reached nearly 90% progress, with specialists contributing more than 130,000 work-hours to bring the unit back online. - Shana
