SAL, Huawei in Deal to Boost Saudi Digital Logistics Sector

SAL Logistics Services, a leading player in cargo handling, logistics solutions and supply chain management, has signed an agreement with Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia to strengthen collaboration across transportation, logistics, and digital transformation, while exploring opportunities to develop joint solutions and services in the Kingdom.

The MoU focuses on advancing collaboration between the two parties in transportation, logistics, and digital transformation, said the Saudi group in a statement.

The parties will explore leveraging Huawei’s advanced technologies, including 5G, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and green energy technologies, to support the digitalisation of logistics zones and enhance operational efficiency.

The parties will also explore the possibility of establishing an inventory and distribution hub to support Huawei’s requirements in Saudi Arabia, leveraging SAL’s operational capabilities and logistics network.

In addition, they will explore the potential for SAL to become an approved logistics services provider for Huawei, creating broader opportunities for commercial and operational collaboration between the two parties, it stated.

This collaboration brings together SAL’s expertise in logistics and supply chain management with Huawei’s capabilities in digital solutions and infrastructure, enabling both parties to explore and develop innovative, integrated solutions and projects that enhance the efficiency of the logistics ecosystem, accelerate digital transformation, support business growth in the Kingdom, and contribute to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
