LNG Growth to Mitigate Impact of Future Oil Price Drops: Qatari Finance Minister

Qatar's Finance Minister Ali Ahmed al-Kuwari said on Saturday that the planned expansion of the country's liquefied natural gas (LNG) output would mitigate the impact of any future decline in oil prices. Speaking at the Doha Forum, he added that Qatar's disciplined fiscal policy meant it did not need to "run to debt markets" to meet its spending needs.
