The Central Bank of Libya's Governor Naji Issa inaugurated on Monday the bank’s new headquarters project in Gurji, Tripoli. "This project is a long-awaited step to bring together the Central Bank’s departments into a single, fully integrated and independent facility—similar to other central banks—putting an end to an era in which staff suffered from being scattered across multiple locations in Tripoli.” The Central Bank said. It added that the modern building has been designed according to the latest approved engineering standards, making it the first of its kind in Libya to receive the Gold Certification for environmentally friendly buildings. The Central Bank added that it will rely on advanced systems that align with the Bank’s digital transformation strategy, aiming to become a symbol of the Central Bank of Libya’s independence as a sovereign institution.
