Mirjaveh Connected to Iran's National Gas Grid

The acting head of Sistan and Baluchestan Province’s Gas Company announced that the border city of Mirjaveh, a strategic location in eastern Iran, has been connected to the national natural gas network. He described the move as a symbol of the government’s commitment to energy equity, poverty alleviation and sustainable development in the country’s eastern regions.

According to the National Iranian Gas Company, Mahmoud Hashemi stated that the gas supply to Mirjaveh was made possible by installing a pressure reduction station (CGS) with a capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per hour and a TBS station with a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters per hour, along with 47 kilometers of supply pipelines and 64 kilometers of distribution networks. He added that as of Monday, Aug. 4, the city officially became gas-connected as the center of Mirjaveh County. Gas supply operations for two other cities in the county, Ladiz and Rigmolk, are expected to begin within the next two months.

Highlighting the project’s significance, Hashemi emphasized that supplying gas to the border county of Mirjaveh is not just a technical achievement but also reflects the government’s determination to ensure energy justice, reduce deprivation and promote sustainable development in eastern Iran. He affirmed that efforts will continue to extend natural gas access to other cities and villages in the province. - Shana
