The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) has announced the launch of the country's first university-based virtual banking project, with the initial phase set to start at Al-Muthanna University. The project was unveiled during the university's comprehensive exhibition, held alongside the 2nd Scientific Conference on "Artificial Intelligence and Labour Market Requirements," organised by the College of Administration and Economics in collaboration with Mansoura University (Egypt), the CBI, the Muthanna Chamber of Commerce, and the Muthanna Chamber of Industry. The virtual bank initiative aims to offer students and graduates hands-on experience in banking operations, preparing skilled personnel to meet the needs of Iraq's financial sector. The project also seeks to promote financial inclusion by encouraging financial institutions to expand their services across all regions of Iraq.
