Contracts Signed to Build Hospitals in Benghazi

Belqasem Haftar, Director of the so-called Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, has signed contracts for the construction of two new hospitals in the city of Benghazi.

According to a post on the Fund’s Facebook page, Haftar signed the implementation contracts with the Libyan-Tunisian General Contracting Company, as part of a comprehensive plan to improve infrastructure and enhance medical services in the city.

The contracts include the construction of a 490-bed pediatric and surgery hospital, as well as a 200-bed maternity and gynecology hospital in Benghazi.
