Iran Denies Gasoline Price Hike

National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) on Sunday dismissed recent rumors regarding an increase in gasoline prices.

In a statement, the company said:

1. The Ministry of Oil has no plans or authority to change gasoline prices, strongly refuting any speculation circulating on social media.

2. There are no plans to raise the price of diesel allocated to consumers, particularly in the transportation sector (diesel fleet), and any speculation regarding this matter is also denied. The sales price for allocated diesel will remain unchanged at IRR 3,000 (0.38 cent) per liter.

3. The company addressed misunderstandings stemming from a letter circulating on social media about changes to the display on fuel dispensers, stating that updates to software and hardware at fuel supply stations are part of its normal operations to prevent potential disruptions in sales. - Shana
