Iraqi Refinery Raises Capacity

The North Refineries Company (NRC) has announced a 20,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) increase in production capacity at the Al-Siniya refinery, raising its output to 50,000 bpd.

Director General Adnan Mohammed Hamoud highlighted that the project was completed within six months, with the operation of two new production units, each adding 10,000 bpd. The refinery's capacity rose from 30,000 bpd to 50,000 bpd, ensuring high-quality output to meet national demand and promote self-sufficiency.

Hamoud noted that this success reflects ongoing national efforts in reconstruction and development, including previous accomplishments such as the rehabilitation of the North Refinery, Salahuddin 1 and 2 refineries, and other production units.
