President Communicates Iran-Belarus Agreement Law to Boost Trade, Economic Ties

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a correspondence to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance communicated a law for an agreement between Iran and the Republic of Belarus aimed at enhancing the bilateral trade and economic relations.

The law was approved by the Iranian parliament on 3 December 2023 and was then notified by Raisi on 13 January 2024.

Back in October, the head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), on the sidelines of the 16th edition of the Iran-Belarus Joint Economic Commission meeting, pointed to the growing trend of trade between the two countries and emphasized that Tehran and Minsk enjoy high potentials to enhance bilateral relations in the fields of trade and economy, Mehr news agency reported. The agreements made in the commission will lead to achieving US$400 million in trade between the two countries in the next two years, he underlined. - Tasnim, President.ir
