Algerian Minister Receives Terramin CEO

Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received in Algiers, on Thursday, CEO of the Australian mining company Terramin, Feng Cheng, with whom he discussed the completion of the Amizour-Tala Hamza (Bejaia) zinc-lead deposit project, said the ministry in a statement.

The meeting was attended by ministry officials, the CEO of the SONAREM group, the CEO of the Entreprise nationale des produits miniers non ferreux (ENOF), the director of the joint Algerian-Australian company Western Mediterranean Zinc (WMZ), and Terramin's CEO and technical director, the source said.

On this occasion, the two parties welcomed the "fruitful" results of cooperation between SONAREM and Terramin, and discussed "ways of strengthening this cooperation through the implementation of other mining projects in Algeria."
