Iran, Qatar Call On Strengthening Auditing Coop.

An Iranian official and his Qatari counterpart have underlined the need for the expansion of collaborations between Tehran and Doha in terms of technical and specialized issues concerning the state-run auditing.

President of the Supreme Audit Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ahmad-Reza Dastgheib held a phone conversation with President of the State Audit Bureau of Qatar Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Ahmed Al-Emadi on Tuesday.

Dastgheib highlighted the remarkable relationship between the two nations in various political, parliamentary, economic, and cultural arenas, and emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation in the audit field.

The Supreme Audit Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared for wide-range collaborations in a bid to increase technical and specialized interactions with Qatar’s State Audit Bureau in the frameworks of the Economic Co-operation Organization Supreme Audit Institutions (ECOSAI) and the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI), the Iranian official noted.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Dastgheib pointed to the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip over the recent weeks, adding that the Israeli regime’s inhumane acts against the oppressed people of Gaza are considered heinous crimes in accordance with international law, so the Islamic nations and freedom-seeking individuals around the globe unanimously condemned the atrocities.

Al-Emadi, for his part, referred to Iran's presidency over ECOSAI and the status of the State Audit Bureau of Qatar as an observer member in the organization, underlining the need for improving interactions, cooperation, and exchange of mutual experiences in areas of common interests.

He added that his organization enthusiastically waits to finalize and sign a memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation in the form of exchanging specialized delegations to enhance collaborations between the audit courts of the two friendly and brotherly countries. - IRNA
