Indonesia Warns of Consequences of Possible Iran Oil Sanctions

Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty M. Natalegawa warned that imposing sanctions on Iran's oil industry will severely destabilize the world markets and economies.

Sanctioning Iran's oil will make lots of troubles and will affect the world economy, Indonesian Foreign Minister said on Wednesday (18 January) on the sidelines of an International Conference on the Global Movement of Moderates in Kuala Lumpur.

"Iran's issue can be solved through negotiations," he said, and added "Iran and Indonesia have good potentials for bilateral cooperation and in the meantime, cooperation in the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC)". – Fars
