Tehran's Ambassador to Kiev Akbar Ghasemi paid a visit to the Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel company, Interpipe, and underlined the potentials existing for the company's cooperation in the development of Iran's oil and gas fields. The Iranian diplomat also met with the management board of the Ukrainian company and visited the production of steel pipes at the NTRP mill. The Iranian diplomat noted the big potential for collaboration between Interpipe and Iranian oil and gas companies, particularly with the country's vast oil and gas fields and Interpipe expertise in producing quality pipes for the industry.
During the visit, Director for Products and Resource Management at Interpipe Fadi Hraibi pointed to the company's activities in Iran, and said, "Interpipe is not a new player to the Iranian market." "We have had positive past experiences in supplying products for the country's oil and gas, construction and machinery businesses. Indeed, Interpipe has been the only railway wheels exporter to Iran in the years 2006 to 2008," Hraibi stated. He also expressed the hope that the visit by the Iranian envoy would enable the company to revive relations with Iran's industrial businesses. - Fars
