China's CNPC has said it plans, along with its partners Total and Petronas, to start drilling new wells next month in Iraq's Halfaya Oil Field in an attempt to boost output to 70,000 bpd in 2011, Reuters has reported. The group is to drill three appraisal wells this year for which it already issued a tender and is now evaluating the bids, the CNPC executive, Yan Shihe told the news service.- MAE Info
