Saudi Arabia to Finance Electricity Project in Yemen


Egyptian High Dam Company and the Ministry of Electricity and Energy in Yemen signed a contract to implement the transmission line project of 132 kilovolts "Bajel - Abes" of "Hodeidah" province in the western area of Yemen, at a cost of US$18.368 million co-funded by the Saudi Fund for Development and the Yemeni government and implemented by the High Dam Company of Egypt.

A statement from the Egyptian Company in Cairo said that the contract includes the construction of a transmission line (a voltage of 132 kV) with a total length 120 km stretching from the transfer station " current Bajel " up to the area, "Bani Hassan, Abes market", where the transfer station site is to be established. -Argaam
