Libya, China Establish Joint Business Council


Libyan and Chinese businessmen and officials signed an agreement for establishing the first Libyan-Chines Business Council. The agreement is between the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Libyan Businessmen Council. Mohamed Hassan Beck, a member of the Libyan Businessmen Council, signed on behalf of the Libyan side, and Jan Lee, the chairman of the Chinese Business council, signed on behalf of the Chinese side. The Chinese businessmen underlined their desire to deal with the Libyan Council and to exchange commercial and economic information, organizing trade missions and the participation on investment and trade between both countries. Abdulhafez Zlitni, Secretary of GPC for Planning and Finance, and Mohamed Siyala, undersecretary of GPC for foreign affairs attended the signing of the agreement as they were present at the seventh session of the Libyan- Chinese Joint Commission. - Tripoli Post
