Indonesian President's Emissary in Sana

The Indonesian President's emissary to the Middle East Alwi bin Shihab arrived in Sana on a several-day visit to Yemen. During his visit, bin Shihab would hold talks with Yemeni officials at the Ministry of Oil and Minerals over strengthening economic and trade relations between the two brotherly countries.

"There are Indonesian companies currently operating in Yemen and we would like to see more companies working in this country in the field of oil and gas", bin Shihab said. He pointed that a delegation of Yemeni parliament has recently visited Indonesia and urged the competent authorities in the government to enhance the cooperation between the two countries in the field of oil and gas. In this regard, bin Shihab affirmed his country's keenness to develop and support the economic cooperation between Yemen and Indonesia in this aspect. - Saba News
