Kuwait, Turkey to Boost Investment Opportunities


National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) hosted a Turkish trade delegation meeting with local business owners to encourage investment and cooperation between the two countries. The meeting was attended by the CEO of NBK group Ibrahim Dabdoub and the head of Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey (ISPAT) Alpaslan Korkomaz. During the meeting, , Shaikha Al-Bahar, Deputy CEO of NBK Kuwait, said in her opening speech that the initiative and decision for the gathering was taken by the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Turkish President Abdullah Gul during his visit to Kuwait in December 2009. Al-Bahar noted that Kuwait's ambitious development plans offer great investment opportunities for Turkish companies to benefit from. "There's also a growing interest in investment in Turkey from Kuwait and other GCC countries," she added.- Kuwait Times
