Sinopec, Kuwait Refinery Still in Preliminary Work

China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. and Kuwait Petroleum Corp.’s proposed refinery in the city of Zhanjiang in southern China’s Guangdong province is still undergoing preliminary work, Zhanjiang Mayor Chen Yaoguang said on 5 March 2010 after a meeting of the National People’s Congress. No time has been set for when the preliminary work will be completed, Chen said, adding that he’s unaware of a third party being involved in the refinery. - Bloomberg
