A budget of US$3.8 billion will be assigned to a program for upgrading Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) between 2010 and 2014, Amouri Brahiti, Director General of SME promotion at the Ministry of SMEs and Craft Industry said.
Speaking at awareness day on the Algerian-European SME Program-II, Brahiti stated that the proposed upgrade will involve some 20,000 public and private SMEs and aims primarily to improve their management and organization capabilities, their quality systems and human resources. - El Khabar
