Algeria-Libya Joint Committee to Meet

The meeting of Algerian and Libyan experts continued in Tripoli for the 13th High Joint Executive Committee of Algeria and Libya, scheduled for 14- 15 February 2010 in the Libyan capital.

Works are conducted in four specialized committees devoted to economic cooperation, human resources, consular and security affairs. The intensification of trade, energy, electricity, transport, development of border areas and taking advantage from the Algerian experience in technology and renewable energy are the main sectors to promote cooperation, Algerian experts said.

The results of the expert group will be submitted to the 7th session of the Monitoring Committee scheduled for 13 February 2010. Both sides hope that High Joint Executive Committee reaches "to develop a roadmap to follow up bilateral cooperation in the economic and commercial realms." - APS
