The issue relating to procurement within the national oil company Sonatrach should be addressed with "complete serenity," said the Algerian Energy and Mines Minister, Chakib Khelil. "The issue should be handled with complete serenity, and let justice do its job," Khelil told the press on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the Parliament's autumn session.
"These involved people are Algerian citizens and senior executives of the nation and of Sonatrach group who are protecting the interests of the country, and they have the right to be defended until proven guilty by the court," the minister added. 95% of goods are transported by sea in Algeria. - APS
