Iran Invests US$9 Billion in Pressure Stations


Iran is to invest US$9 billion in constructing transfer lines and pressure regulating stations in the next five years (2010-2015), the Managing Director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Javad Owji said.

"Construction of 5,000 Km to 6,000 Km of gas transmission lines as well as 20 to 22 gas pressure regulating stations have been anticipated in the Fifth Five-Year Development Plan(2010-2015)... around US$9 billion credit has been allocated for these projects."

Commenting on the NIGC's budget for 1389 (March 2010-2011), he said a US$6.8 billion budget has been projected for 1389, expressing hope that the budget will be approved by the Iranian Majlis. -
