Crude Oil Production from Bahrain Oilfield Increased


Daily production of crude oil at Bahrain Oilfield reached 33,000 bpd during the first nine months of the year, Oil and Gas Affairs Minister and National Oil and Gas Authority (Noga) chairman, Abdulhussain Mirza, said. Abu Sa'afa oilfileld produced 150,000 bpd, an increase of 0.% compared to the same period in 2008. Crude imported from Saudi Arabia reached 220,000 bpd. The authority said Bapco's average production from January to September 2009 dropped by 4.1% to 256,000 bpd from 267,000 bpd in the same period in 2008.

Local daily sales rose by 0.4% to 24,000 barrels, up from 24,648 barrels in 2008, Noga said. Natural gas outpout reached 409 Bscf, at a daily average of 1.497 Bscf, up from 1.491Bscf.- Gulf Daily
