Oil Search Made Its 1st Discovery in Yemen

Australian listed Oil Search has made its first operated discovery outside of Papua New Guinea with its Tubb’a-1 probe in Yemen’s Block 3. The well produced gas and condensate at rates up to 9 Mscf/d, the Port Moresby-based outfit said. Further work is underway to define the producing intervals and any fluid contacts. Oil Search operates the block with a 60% interest, on behalf of Petoil (34%) and Yemen General Corporation for Oil & Gas (6%).- Upstream
