NeXTfairs for Exhibitions and Conferences, organiser of the upcoming Build Your House (BYH) Exhibition 2021, has announced that the BYH expo has received the approval of the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and will now be held at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) from September 20-22 under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani. Rawad Sleem, Co-founder & General Manager of NeXTfairs for Exhibitions and Conferences, said that the second edition of BYH Exhibition is expected to attract deals worth over QR400 million (US$110.718 million) from diversified entities, including government, local, and international companies specialised in various sectors. He added that the expo will also feature a special competition for young designers to showcase their talents and provide them with opportunities for partnerships and alliances between companies. Raffle draw prizes will also be given during the event, with one lucky visitor winning the grand prize - 2021 Ford Ranger XLS. Sleem noted that all protective measures against COVID-19 will also be applied throughout the exhibition. The three-day expo will gather about 150 local and international companies under one roof; providing visitors with various products and advanced technologies in the fields of construction, architectural design, decoration, and contracting, in addition to the technologies of smart and green buildings.In a statement, Sleem expressed his gratitude to the MoPH for approving the event. He added that the MoPH had identified a set of precautionary guidelines to ensure the health and safety of exhibitors and visitors, which are: Allowing only fully vaccinated people to enter the event, ensuring that all employees received a 2-dose vaccine, and allocating an isolation area - in cooperation with Qatar Red Crescent Society and Qatar National Convention Center - for suspected cases. An online pre-registration would be required to attend the exhibition, with visitors observing social distancing. Restaurants and cafes won’t participate in the event. And visitors and exhibitors will be provided with a comprehensive digital guide to public safety measures, including reminding visitors that face masks should be worn, and checking the green color on Eheteraz App. Sleem stressed that NeXTfairs has also signed a partnership agreement with Boecker, the global leader in health and safety, to ensure public health and safety during the new edition of BYH exhibition. Speaking about the competition, Sleem said 20 students from Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCUQatar) will compete for the best Residential interior designs before the opening of the exhibition. Prior to the competition, the students will be given specialised workshops sponsored by Jotun Paints, Coolex Al Jaber and Pera Interior. Three winners will be selected to showcase their designs to the public in a dedicated booth in the exhibition. BYH 2021 exhibition is a first-rate event for designing, renovating, and building houses in Qatar, and has developed a strong presence locally being one of the top events on the Qatar 2021 calendar. The new edition will include the latest technologies and sustainable materials in the fields of contracting, architecture, and interior design, especially for clients who plan to create or add new designs and features to their houses or real estate projects. The exhibition will also provide an opportunity to discover hundreds of smart and modern options that are cost-effective and of excellent quality for designing, building, renovating, maintaining, and developing houses. Visitors will also be guided in the processes of building their house, from choosing the consultants, contractors, and the suppliers, to planning, designing, and issuing the licenses, up until managing the project with the contractor to handing over keys sustainably and cost-effectively.
