The second edition of the Doha Trade Exhibition 2020 will be launched at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) on Thursday at 10am. Organized by the Qatari Marketers Company in cooperation with the Seqlia Company for Organizing Exhibitions and Conferences, this year’s edition of the Doha Trade Fair will open to the public from September 24 to October 3. Over 140 local companies are participating in this year’s event which will be held across a 5,000sq m space at the DECC.The exhibition will include local and international products, including clothes, fabrics, leather, antiques, gifts, women’s abayas, shoes, various household items, furnishings, and carpets, as well as food products, honey, spices, and many more. It will be open to the public from 2pm until 10pm daily. In a statement, Qatari Marketers Company CEO Hassan Jumaa, reiterated that organizers of the event will follow the precautionary health measures instructed by the government when holding exhibitions, and added that the organizers are trying to copy the success of the previous edition to make it an ideal destination that meets the expectations of the visitors. He went on to thank the medical and government officials at the National Crisis Management Committee for their efforts in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. Mohamed Ammar Al Bunni, General Manager at Seqlia Company for Organizing Exhibitions and Conferences, added: “We will open, God willing, the Doha Trade Fair 2020, which will be a challenge after an interruption of exhibitions for more than six months due to the coronavirus. This exhibition will support the economy and help revitalize the local market, taking note of safe shopping. The event will also feature a large number of social media celebrities, social networks and a group of media professionals and attendees”. “We are working through this new edition of the exhibition to present a different version, but with the same level of excellence and success,” he added. Anwar Al Sheikh, Director General at the Qatari Marketers Company, called on the public to visit the exhibition, where all precautionary and safety measures will be provided to all visitors, to ensure their safety while shopping for family and household items under one roof.
