The Zueitina oil terminal has managed to restart the gas power station that produces cooking gas, which had been shut in for almost seven years. The cooking gas produced at Zueitina supplied huge parts of eastern Libya before being shut in during 2011. The news of the restart came about when residents in the area saw smoke billowing in the sky at the plant. A source revealed that the water stored inside the pipelines were behind the smoke. Residents reported seeing smoke in the sky and thought a fire had broken out at the oil terminal.
